Shenzhen City boasts convenient traffic facilities. Shenzhen is not large, and the traffic tools such as buses, small buses, taxies and two-storied luxury sightseeing bus can send customers to any places in the city.
Railways:
Stage I of the Shenzhen Subway Project completed include east segment of Luobao Line (former Line 1) and south segment of Longhua Line (former Line 4), which have opened to traffic for trial operation on Dec. 28, 2004. A total of 19 stations were constructed, with the total distance of 21,866 kilometers. On Sept. 28, 2009, the first segment of the extended construction project of Luobao Line was opened for trial operation. First segment opened to traffic of Line 1 includes Baishizhou, High-tech Park and Shenzhen Universities, and the total length is 3.39 kilometers. Distance between two neighboring stations is one segment, and four segments form a section. The starting price is two yuan for three segments. Additional one yuan will be charged when entering another section. The opening time of the subway is from 6:30am to 23:00pm, totaling 16.5 hours. During the New Year Holidays, the Spring Festival Holidays, the May 1st Golden Week and the National Day Holidays, the opening time will be extended to 12:00pm.
Public bus:
In general, one or two-digital buses adopt self-service ticketing system, while three-digital buses have the ticket sellers. Prices of the buses range from one yuan to 10 yuan.
Tax:
Starting price of the taxi is 10 yuan per two kilometers, and 2.4 yuan for every kilometer additionally. Moreover, 30% of return fees should be paid distance longer than 25 kilometers from 6:00 am to 23:00pm each day.
