Leaders of Invest Shenzhen Take Delegation to Visit COOEC Subsea Technology
To speed up Shenzhen’s construction into a key global maritime city, a delegation led by Wang Youming, Director of Invest Shenzhen, and Zhang Feimeng, Deputy Director of Invest Shenzhen, along with officials from the city’s Economic, Trade and Information Commission, the Urban Planning, Land & Resources Commission (Municipal Oceanic Administration of Shenzhen), Nanshan’s economic promotion bureau (investment promotion center) and Shenzhen Special Zone Construction & Development Group’s ocean unit visited COOEC Subsea Technology Co. Ltd. on May 31. Miao Chunsheng, Party Secretary of COOEC Subsea Technology, which is a subsidiary of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., received the delegation and held talks on matters about its parent company’s establishment of a design company and its South China headquarters in Shenzhen. The two sides also discussed problems facing COOEC Subsea Technology during its business development, such as lack of resources.
Offshore Oil Engineering is a listed company engaged in engineering under the China National Offshore Oil Corporation, which is ranked 109th on the Fortune Global 500 list with revenue of RMB 10.253 billion in 2017. Headquartered in Tianjin, Offshore Oil Engineering earned China’s first-class general contracting qualification in the oil and gas (offshore oil) industry and is one of Asia’s largest general contracting companies engaged in offshore oil and natural gas development, engineering, and construction projects. It also offers integrated services such as project management, design, consulting, procurement, onshore construction, marine installation, debugging and maintenance. The company has four engineering bases in Tianjin, Qingdao, Shenzhen and Zhuhai and set up COOEC Subsea Technology and its design unit in Shenzhen.
