“Innovation-driven Development for a Win-win Future”: Shenzhen-Taiwan Emerging Industry Seminar Held
The “Shenzhen-Taiwan Emerging Industry Seminar” was held at the Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Taipei on June 21 and was attended by guests such as Hsieh-Te-Hsien, Vice Chairman of the International Chinese Holistic Care Society, Shen-Hung-Ju, Executive Chairman of New Graphene Energy, Lu-Chih-Cheng, General Manager of BioSenseTek, and Michael Lai, President of Tritech Biopharm. These executives delivered speeches before the over 100 representatives of companies in the emerging industries such as high and new technology, new materials, biotech medicine, and culture and creativity.
At the event, Invest Shenzhen, the Development and Reform Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, and Longhua District introduced Shenzhen’s overall business environment and discussed the related policies for strategic emerging industries. Shenzhen has rolled out a package of policies for industrial development in recent years, such as those designed to boost development of emerging industries and improve corporate competiveness. The commission introduced developments in the city’s headquarters economy and supportive policies, while Longhua District’s economic promotion bureau elaborated on the area’s planning and support for industrial development. Representatives from New Graphene Energy shared their experiences in investment and development in Shenzhen. Attendees said that Taipei and surrounding cities are home to distinguished universities, where a number of cutting-edge tech companies have been incubated and the strategically-emerging industry is mature and advanced. Such regions will engage in more opportunities for cooperation with Shenzhen in economic, trade and cultural exchanges and industry investment. The visit by the Shenzhen delegation promoted the city and introduced its development experience and also provided a bridge and platform for Taiwanese companies to establish and develop their businesses in Shenzhen. During the meeting, some companies and individuals expressed their interest and intention to inspect and invest in Shenzhen and are currently engaged in seeking partners for their projects. Among them, Shenzhen Huazhu Innovation Industrial Park Management signed a framework agreement for invention with the International Chinese Holistic Care Society, Asia Pacific Industry Academy Development Association and BioSenseTek.
