On September 20, 2018 local time, the “China (Shenzhen)-Poland (Warsaw) Investment Cooperation Exchange” hosted by Invest Shenzhen and jointly organized by Shenzhen International Investment & Promotion Association and the Poland-China Business Federation was successfully held in the Polish capital of Warsaw. Wang Hao, the First Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Poland, , Director of the Non-European Market Office, the Trade and International Cooperation Division, the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology of Poland, and , President of the Polish-Asian Chamber of Commerce, were invited to attend the event and deliver speeches. from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency,from the Polish Rhodes Special Economic Zone,, a partner from and Xu Zhipeng, a manager at Mindray Medical International Ltd. At the Conference, Wang Youming, Director of Invest Shenzhen, briefly introduced Shenzhen’s economic development, technological innovation and enterprise agglomeration. China's the first special economic zone was founded in Shenzhen after the state's reform and opening up. In 2017, the city's GDP reached RMB 2.24 trillion, ranking No.3 among cities in mainland China and among the top 30 cities in the world. Shenzhen has the world's third-largest container port, Asia's largest land port and China's fifth-largest airport. The city has become China's central economic fulcrum, and a hub for technological innovation, regional finance, trade and logistics. Director Wang also invited Polish enterprises, entrepreneurial teams, scientific research institutions and professional service organizations to engage in business and technical cooperation with Shenzhen that will benefit both sides., former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Poland and President of the Polish-Asian Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the advantages and opportunities of cooperation between China and Poland on the “Belt and Road” initiative and under the Cooperation Between China and Central and Eastern European Countries 16+1 Framework. Xie Haisheng, a member of the Party Working Committee of the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, introduced the investment advantages of the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone presented by the major historical opportunity of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
China's vast consumer market and Shenzhen's good business environment received an enthusiastic response at the conference. The guests shared their ideas and experiences in China-Poland investment cooperation in their own fields, and engaged in in-depth interactions with the Shenzhen Investment Promotion Delegation, to whom they expressed their strong willingness to invest and cooperate with China and Shenzhen.
