On November 9, Invest Shenzhen Deputy Director Zhang Feimeng accompanied Li Xiaogan, a Member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and the Director of the Municipal Publicity Department, to a meeting with Zhang Wei, Director of the China Film Quality Testing Institute under the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (“the Testing Institute”), and his delegation. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on the Testing Institute’s establishment of its Southern China Sub-center in Shenzhen. Chen Jinhai, Standing Deputy Director of Municipal Publicity Department, also attended the meeting.
Established in 2003, the Testing Institute is the only national-level scientific research and testing institution in China's film industry. It has been approved by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). Its purpose is to provide testing and certification guarantees for film technology quality, to carry out testing and certification of film technology, equipment and environment, testing and assessment of film production and screening process quality, testing and assessment of film industry software, testing of radio, film and television-related systems and equipment, testing of radio, film and television engineering equipment tenders, and testing of film digital copyright protection and digital watermarks.
