On the eve of the opening of the 20th China High-Tech Fair and as a warm-up event for the annual industry show, a delegation of leading Australian businesswomen visited Shenzhen to increase trust between China and Australia in areas such as the economy, trade and investment, and create attractive opportunities for future cooperation between the two sides. Members of the delegation were representatives from the China Australia Trade and Investment Council, the Australian Medical Association, the Australian Board of Directors, charities, financial services companies, media groups, law firms and other enterprises and institutions.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with Invest Shenzhen and the Shenzhen International Investment & Promotion Association. Invest Shenzhen Deputy Director Zhang Feimeng, Shenzhen International Investment & Promotion Association Deputy Secretary General Huyan Jianjun, and China Australia Trade and Investment Council President Jiang Pan attended the symposium and the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on opportunities for Australian companies to invest and engage in talent exchanges, and industry features and government services in Shenzhen. The delegation also visited Huawei, BYD, Galaxy Holdings, Luohu District People's Hospital and other enterprises and institutions, and held a dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel, Shenzhen, where they exchanged views with local enterprise representatives. The delegation members expressed their admiration for Shenzhen enterprises and said the visit had enhanced their confidence and willingness to invest in the city.
