From January to November 2017, the total import and export value of Guangdong Province reached 6.11 trillion RMB, which is an increase of 9.4% over the same period of last year. This accounts for 24.3% of China's total import and export value. There was 3.78 trillion RMB of export value, representing an increase of 7.7%. From January to November, the import and exports in 17 cities in Guangdong Province have shown positive growth. Shenzhen and some other cities are included in the ranking of cities with over 100 billion RMB in trade.
From January to November, the import and export of general trade in Guangdong Province reached 2.83 trillion RMB, up 15.3%, and accounted for 46.2% of the total import and export value of Guangdong Province. This is up 2.4% over the same period last year. In addition, the import and export of cross-border e-commerce reached 29.44 billion RMB, up 96.3%.
Except for Hong Kong of China, it maintained growth to other major trading partners. Hong Kong of China, the United States, the European Union, the ASEAN, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan of China are still the seven largest trading partners of Guangdong. From January to November, the proportion of imports and exports in Guangdong to countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" achieved an increase of 1.36 trillion RMB, up 16.4%, faster than the overall growth rate of imports and exports by 7%. This accounts for 22.2% of the total import and export value of the province.
The proportion of import and export for private enterprises has increased, and it has taken the lead. From January to November, the import and export of private enterprises in Guangdong Province reached 2.81 trillion RMB, up 15.7%, accounting for 46% of the total import and export value. It is noteworthy that private-owned enterprises exported 1.78 trillion RMB (an increase of 14.2%) to rank first in the export businesses.
From January to November, the import and export of 17 cities in Guangdong Province achieved positive growth. Among them, the import and export value of Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Foshan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Jiangmen, whose size exceeded 100 billion RMB, was respectively 2.48 trillion RMB, 1.1 trillion RMB, 897.29 billion RMB, 396.87 billion RMB, 307.42 billion RMB, 257.36 billion RMB, 239.83 billion RMB and 124.31 billion RMB, up by 7.4%, 7.7%, 16.9%, 8.4%, 16.3%, 1.9%, 24.2% and 13.7% respectively.
